The goal is to lessen a cancer patient’s financial burdens by directly meeting the need for general medical supplies or small appliances to help with meal preps.

For instance, sometimes all that’s needed is a case of Ensure Complete, a box of masks, ointments for pain relief, or a heating pad. Other times it may be a blender, a slow cooker or simply a week’s groceries.

Patients with verified needs are referred to CPSP2023 by staff from medical facilities, places of worship and service agencies—such as hospitals and cancer treatment centers; churches, synagogues and temples; and councils on aging and senior centers.
